03/10/2024

In order to ensure partners’ alignment and to exchange experiences in-person, the 2nd physical meeting of GREENMO project was held at the City of Ljubuski in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Hosted by the respective partner, the meeting took place on September 19th and 20th during the second semester of the project in the frame of Interreg Euro-MED Programme.

Starting with an active ice-breaker activity that defined the pace of the meeting, two interactive workshops, which were moderated by the University of West Attica, LP, were realized with the participation of all partners. The participants worked both in pairs as well as in working groups and plenary to deepen the understanding of the context per country, the importance of each characteristic of mobility hubs, the role of each stakeholder and how to ensure their broader buy-in. Furthermore, along with presentations, vivid discussions and exchange of opinions were realized during both days of the agenda.

Thus, sha-r-ing as well as sha-p-ing of knowledge was achieved.

The progress of activities was discussed, and the way forward was jointly decided focusing on:

  • the way to seize the 1st deliverable of the project which has already been published
  • the typology and governance types of mobility hubs,
  • the monitoring actions of measuring CO2 emissions and how to reduce our footprint,
  • the methodologies of upcoming data collection and thorough analyses,
  • the anticipated interaction with Green Living Areas Mission projects to add value to our work,
  • the launch of early actions even from now to ensure strategy uptake the next semesters,
  • the successful dissemination of the project outcomes to intensify the impact,
  • the internal deliverables documents of communication and management,
  • legal, financial and other open issues.

It was great seeing everyone so engaged in mainstreaming the implementation of mobility hubs!

In the end, all partners left being totally aware of the next steps and looking forward to further collaborating to promote greener, faster, more flexible and more connected mobility in the Mediterranean as part of GREENMO vision.
