GREENMO partners have actively participated at the inauguration event of the Green Living Areas Community of the Interred EuroMED Programme, which took place in Turin, Italy, on 10th and 11th of April 2024. Not one, not two, but three partners were present to seize the opportunities of this important event! 😀
The vision and scope of the project were presented to the plenary of the event, while interesting insights and discussions were made during the interactive working groups of Green Mobility.
Strengths of the project promoted by the team:
1. Conceptualisation and adaptation of mobility hubs to the specificities of the Mediterranean area was explained as the point of reference for environment-friendly modes and community.
2. Collaborative threads can be developed both with projects working on sustainable mobility solutions and with projects focusing on urban logistics management, since mobility hubs combine passenger and last-mile freight transport.
3. Interesting aspect is our methodology combining top-down (interviews with stakeholders) and bottom-up (participatory workshops with citizens and survey) research to identify gaps and develop the optimal strategic approach.
Thus, the journey within the Green Living Areas Community has started and constructive synergies are expected on the way forward towards the common goal: 🌱✨ A GREENER Mediterranean area
